01. Who runs this site
Mundroff Computers is one person: John Mundroff, working from Indianapolis, Indiana. When this page says "I", that is who it means. There is no marketing department and no data team.

02. What I collect
- Usage statistics. Which pages get visited, roughly what part of the world the visitor is in, and what browser and device they used. Google Analytics keeps a random ID in your browser so it can tell a repeat visit from a new one. None of it is attached to your name. I would still stop short of calling it anonymous, because a random ID that follows you between visits is not the same thing as no ID at all.
- Whatever you put in an email to me. If you write to the address above, I have your email address and whatever you chose to tell me. I use it to reply and to do the work you hire me for.
- Whatever you say in a call or a text. The business number is a Google Voice line, so Google carries the call and keeps its own record of the number you called from, the text of any message you send, and any voicemail you leave. Google's own privacy policy covers that part, the way it does for the companies in section 03. I see the same messages, and I use them to reply and to do the work you hire me for.
The home page has a contact form and an email deliverability check form. When you submit either form, Web3Forms processes the fields you entered and sends them to my inbox. These can include your name, business name, domain, email address, phone number, message, and how you found me. I use them to reply to your request and to do the work you hire me for. I do not add you to a mailing list.
I do not ask for payment details on this site. I have never bought, sold, or rented anyone's personal data, and I am not going to start.
03. Companies your browser talks to
Loading a page here means your browser also contacts these companies. Each of them sees your IP address and applies its own privacy policy, not mine.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and serves every page, keeping the usual server logs for security and performance. Cloudflare also adds its own small analytics script to the page, which counts visits without cookies.
- Google Analytics 4 measures traffic and sets the cookies described in section 04. It now loads only after the page has finished rendering, so it no longer sees anyone who leaves immediately.
- Ahrefs Analytics measures traffic without setting any cookies.
Submitting a form also contacts Web3Forms, which processes submissions and filters spam. Its privacy policy explains its handling and retention of submission data and technical information. My copies of form messages follow the email retention described below.
Two analytics tools is one more than this site needs, and trimming that is on my list.
Typefaces are served from this site's own domain. Reading this page tells Google Fonts nothing, because your browser never contacts it.
04. Cookies and what your browser stores
Google Analytics sets the only cookies here. They exist to tell repeat visits apart and nothing else. Block cookies, browse privately, or run an ad blocker and they never appear. The site behaves identically without them, because nothing on it depends on knowing who you are.
One thing gets saved outside of cookies. Pressing the dark mode toggle writes your choice to your browser's
local storage under the name mc-theme, so the site remembers it next time. That value never
leaves your device and never reaches me. Clearing your browser data removes it.
05. How long I keep things
Emails, texts, and voicemail from you stay for as long as we are working together, plus a stretch afterwards for my own records. Tax and business records have their own retention requirements and I keep those for as long as the law says to.
Analytics data expires on whatever schedule the services in section 03 are set to. I do not keep a separate copy of it.
06. Your choices
Ask me what personal data I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email john@mundroffcomputers.com and I will answer within 30 days, usually a good deal sooner.
One honest warning about deletion. If I delete your details in the middle of a project, I lose the ability to contact you and cannot carry on with the work. Ask after we are finished and nothing is lost.
07. Changes to this policy
Revisions get posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. If a change materially affects a current client, I will email you about it rather than expecting you to notice.
